What We Believe

Our basic doctrine affirms the authority of Scripture, the Trinity, and the saving work of Jesus Christ.

At the heart of our faith is a deep reverence for Scripture as the inspired and authoritative word of God. We believe the Bible speaks with clarity and power into every generation, guiding how we worship, serve, and love one another. Our understanding of God is rooted in the historic doctrine of the Trinity, affirming the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as one God in three persons, eternally worthy of praise. This conviction shapes our prayers, our teaching, and our daily walk, inviting every believer into a living relationship with the God who reveals himself through his word.

Central to our confession is the saving work of Jesus Christ, whose life, death, and resurrection bring redemption to a broken world. We proclaim that salvation is a gift of grace, received through faith, and not something earned by human effort. Because of Christ, we are reconciled to God and empowered to live lives marked by gratitude, humility, and hope. This good news is not merely a doctrine to be studied but a reality to be experienced, transforming how we treat our neighbors and how we engage the challenges of our time.

Our community is built on the conviction that faith is meant to be shared, practiced, and lived out in tangible ways. We gather regularly for worship, prayer, and the study of Scripture, and we scatter into our neighborhoods as agents of compassion and reconciliation. We believe the church exists not for its own sake but for the sake of the world, extending hospitality to the stranger, care to the hurting, and justice to the oppressed. In all things, we seek to reflect the character of Christ and to be a place where people can encounter the grace of God.

We also affirm that faith and life are inseparable, and that following Jesus touches every dimension of our existence. Our beliefs call us to steward creation, pursue peace, and practice generosity in all our relationships. We cherish the wisdom of the historic church while remaining open to the fresh work of the Spirit in our own day, believing that the gospel speaks meaningfully to the questions and longings of modern life. Whether in seasons of joy or struggle, we anchor ourselves in the steadfast love of God, trusting that he who began a good work in us will bring it to completion.

The Authority of Scripture

All Scripture is self-attesting, infallible, and the supreme and final authority for faith and life. The sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments form a complete and unified witness to God's redemptive acts throughout history. We receive them not as human words alone, but as the very Word of God — breathed out by him and profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness.

The Triune God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are one in essence, equal in power and glory, and worthy of all worship, trust, and obedience. The triune God created all things, sustains all things, and is working all things according to the counsel of his will.

Jesus Christ — His Person and Work

Jesus Christ, the living Word, became flesh through miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit and was born of the virgin Mary. Fully God and fully man, he lived a sinless life, taught with authority, and performed mighty works that revealed his divine identity. He died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for our sins, was buried, and rose bodily from the dead on the third day. He ascended into heaven, where he reigns at the right hand of the Father and intercedes for his people.

Salvation by Grace Through Faith

Salvation is found in Christ alone. Through his perfect obedience and atoning death, he secured forgiveness and eternal life for all who trust in him. This salvation is entirely a gift of God's grace — not earned by human effort or merit — and is received through faith alone.

"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work." — 2 Timothy 3:16–17

We hold these truths not as abstract doctrines but as the living foundation of our worship, our fellowship, and our hope. If you would like to learn more or discuss any aspect of our beliefs, we welcome you to reach out or join us for Sunday morning worship.
